I don't see why people feel the need to do the melody with keys when they try and make it metal. It sounds out of place and ruins what is otherwise a really good take on the song.

Guitars - pretty solid, never feels like they give up melody in place of needless shred...well apart from the solo at 4.53, although it's still relatively melodic. Like the addition of the classical guitar at the slow part. One of the guitars had a wee bit too much reverb on it according to my ears but now I'm just being really picky...

Drums - relatively uninspiring...it fits the style of the track but I would've liked to hear the drummer experiment a bit

Bass - as above, good driving rhythm but I really would've liked to hear a wee bass solo or little flourishes here and there in amongst all the guitar solos. Bass had quite a nice tone actually.

As with pretty much all the rock/metal covers I hear of Phantom Ensemble, good ideas but bloody keys! Not chuffed!

    /constructive criticism (rant)
