    Mass Effect

    Post  Dio on Mon Oct 13, 2008 10:01 pm

    The humor of the DBZ power level meter in the game's first apparent 'boss fight' quickly wore off after I was sent into a glitched in-game paralysis repeatedly by the multitude of psychers in the area, who usually caused me to fall rag-doll style into the scenery and then stand up and find myself paralysed in no clip, after about my 8th attempt at the boss battle the glitch got even better and the above picture came a easily screenshotted sight, that being me stuck outside the level, unable to do anything (Even access the menu and thusly the load game function) and slowly jerking away from the actual level. Amusingly I saw my AI team mate on my way to oblivion so he may be somewhere within the shroud.

    This game is reletively good, however it appears that it should not do DBZ power level fights against psyker aliens, ever, which sadly it does; Vs a matriarch and a commando squad of mooks all with the same glitched ability.

    That would require an X-Box, which to be honest I don't want.

    No it's yours.
    ,;;

    In other news; don't ever try updating drivers from the manafacturer's official site.
    Both ATI and NVidea have nearly left my computer inoperable now, suprisingly Vista caters for the fact that these people are dicks and fixes their bullshit with system restore (Which XP suprisingly failed to do as I remember).

    Yes, its certainly my fault that Mass Effect works perfectly fine on xbox.

    Also, while nvidia's drivers MAY fuck your comp up, its always a 50/50 chance, so always keep old drivers around xD

    Is it ironic that somehow I can get past that loading screen now, only to get stuck at the next one? XD

    Ok, seems we've got a rather fun glitch now.
    From the point i'm at onward it appears that whenever I change planet for the 2nd time from my computer's start-up the game crashes; thusly I'm required to restart the computer to change the system i'm currently in.

    This leaves me a cranky gamer.
