    PS2 Emulators

    Post  Gazray4699 on Wed Jan 21, 2009 1:53 pm

I come to you today, upon this subject of PS2 Emulators.

After having memories of a certain time I spent playing a game on someone's PS2 when they first came out, I realised I wanted to play said game again and went on a hunt for cheap PS2's. Needless to say, the government may fund moves to Scotland but not PS2 consoles.

So I set off to search for a PS2 emulator for the PC and was rewarded with success... of a kind.

Yes, the emulators are readibly available, however, the game needs to be a PS2 disc, you can't download an emulated game. And second? The Emulators do not work without the PS2 BIOS, which, as you may have guessed, needs to be taken directly from a PS2 console, rendering it useless. So, having the logic circle around me and realising it'd just ruin the point if I bought a PS2 to tear it apart, I gave up.

    Chow!

Playstations are bitches because they have their own funky processing stuff.
Good luck finding a good emulator.

Steal one? Or eBay it. Cheap as chips I'd reckon.

The fact they're such a bitch to emulate means it's more worthwhile to get the console, i'll be honest.
Also you can be geeky and browse games in the '4 for 20' section in gamestation etc and not feel like your wasting money.

Recently rigged up my pc with a PSX emulator,
been playing away at Super Robot Wars for the sake of it.
It's actually a pretty decent game, it takes ages to do missions though, not that I havn't enjoyed games that takes ages to complete a mission for (Valkyria Chronicles a PS3 game for example).
My reasoning for playing is that I've seen pictures of a dude called Zengar Zovolt, and I'm curious as to who he is since he only appears in SRW.

A basic dual core machine is enough for it but only thing u need to do to configure the plugins it would be better if u search on youtube theres a ton of tutorial video on how to do it and when you search filter is by ratings taht will be the best and the video be somewhat recent 2 and the game depends to i know LSD simulator works , eternal punishment thats Persona 2 ? and innocent sin io dont know about that game

Well technically it isn't Hitler, you know how in every Persona game some god that's somewhat related to the main feeling of that game appears and goes "AS LONG AS HUMANITY HAS ____ IN THEIR HEART'S I WILL ALWAYS BE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE"
Hitler in Persona 2 is just a "Mask" Cthulhu's brother or something is using.
