Right, now that tickets have started arriving for my various gigs I decided to post 'em here, to help me remember them too.

25th October - UG Gig (basically a gig arranged by guys on a forum I hang out on with bands from the forum too) at Sneaky Pete's in Edinburgh

7th November - Shinedown at the O2 Academy (might not be going to this but seriously considering it)

18th November - Ocean Colour Scene in the Springwood Hall in Kelso

25th November - Five Finger Death Punch/Shadows Fall at the Garage in Glasgow

28th November - Elliot Minor at the HMV Picture House, Edinburgh

3rd December - Dragonforce at the Barrowlands in Glasgow (again, might not be but serious consideration being carried out...)

Going to make an active effort to go see more gigs methinks. Me and a mate have been complaining we don't see awesome gigs so we decided we should go see awesome gigs.

Oh hey, a gig at sneaky pete's? I've been looking for an excuse to go into there.
I also heard from a guy at the fleece last night that theres going to be a Muse gig in glasgow sometime in the future, though I've not confirmed this myself.

Sounds interesting, maybe be able to come along ^_^.

Would rather go to Edinburgh, and if your suggesting a 2-day prodigy/binge(I'm taking the liberty to assume we'd be drinking, alot) I'm afraid I don't think I could manage/afford such a venture, i'm not as agile as you kids.

Actually, since I'm in the gig section i'll talk about Enter Shikari, who I went to see for the second time last friday. First, the back up band "The devil wears prada", well personally I'd avise avoidance at all costs. I kept thinking they must be a spoof band, apparently not. Second, Enter Shikari themselves were alright, I enjoyed myself to a decent extent, the truth is though that last year when I seen them, around October aswell i think, I had actually stopped listening to them so much and there new album didn't really draw me back in. Mostly it was jus fun to hang out with my mates cheers .

I know a guy that went to see Enter Shikari at their recent gig. He loved it so much he decided to lose his phone. Tube :P

But having been to the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh, can I advise that it's not a good venue to see bands like The Prodigy. If you wanna go, then go but I think the O2 gig will be better (although, I'd rather they were at a smaller Glasgow club).

Just watched the Foos DVD from their concert in Wembley last year. Actually insane how much I enjoyed it. Dave Grohl (and Taylor Hawkins) - best people in modern rock history. The stage presence of the whole band, the pacing of the concert, everything about it was incredible. Also, a nice couple of special guests cements it's status as FORKING MENTAL. I know Dave aint the best singer but you find me someone else in his genre who puts as much passion and aggresion, alongside sentimentality into his performance and I'll be surprised (aside from Mr Kurt Cobain back in the day)

For any rock fan this is essential viewing. These guys are guaranteed Rock 'n' Roll Hall-of-Famers. Have been for years. I'll be honest, for folk who don't like rock, if you've not got the point already, don't even bother with it.

Need to see these guys before I go up to the Great Gig in the Sky...

Death Punch gig was pretty awesome. Shadows Fall were pretty cool as well, wasn't sure if they were going to be my thing but the frontman's massive dreads came through for us (seriously, his hair is insanely long)

Bought my DKM tickets, most likely gonna go see Lostprophets in Edinburgh because it's the day after a mate's 18th birthday so night out will be in order Very Happy

Hoping Alter Bridge come over this side of the water this year. Been a couple of years since I saw them. New album in 2010!

Might go to the Sonisphere festival in the summer. Iron Maiden headlining one of the nights and a mate's needing folk to go with him...tempting. Will wait for the rest of the line-up to be announced before making my decision. Need to get back on the festival circuit methinks.

Got a few gigs that I might/definetly will be headed to this year

    Lacuna Coil - Glasgow - 2nd February
    *Lostprophets - Edinburgh - 19th February
    Zebrahead - Glasgow - March 29th
    AFI - Glasgow - 8th April
    *Dropkick Murphys - Glasgow - 12th April
    Wishbone Ash - Glasgow - 28th April
    Pendulum - Edinburgh - 20th May

Notice Enter Shikari are hitting Glasgow early February too. Might think about going depending on money. Not listen to anything other than their 1st record so might have to check the 2nd before I decide.

Already bought my ticket. As soon as I heard they were hitting the UK I knew I was going. Should be a really cool vibe during and after the gig.

Ooh, and also (re)discovered that one of my favourite modern singer/songwriters Frank Turner's hitting Edinburgh in March. Pretty much guaranteed going to that bad boy. Hopefully meet the guy afterwards :)

    Wow I am lazy.

I seen The Lawrence Arms a couple of months ago now. They're a punk band and it turns out they play a great live set. The crowd were fun aswell, it was the leads birthday and after about 3 songs the crowd started spontaneously singing happy birthday, the bassist was chuffed since he was apparently going to ask us to sing it later on, but as glad it just happened instead.

Also, went to T in the park for the first time, twas fun indeed. Pesonal highlights have to include Mumford & Sons, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Proclaimers, Rodrigo Y Gabriella and ofcourse, Madness. I ska'd the fuck out to them, and by that I mean I danced like I had failed to take some much needed medication.
