Games You Wish You Could('ve) Play(ed)

Post  mcmicken on Thu Jun 25, 2009 11:23 am

Hi all, if you are anything like me you seem to spot a game or 2 for a platform you don't have and it makes you mad/upset. For example, as soon as I moved from Playstation to Nintendo at the Gamecube era, I immediately missed the Final Fantasy series (as anyone who knows me will know, I'm quite a fan).

I'm having a moment like that at the moment, but it's for a platform I do own, but have currently given it away (PSP). I want to play Star Ocean: Second Evolution because back in the PSX days, it came out as "Second Story" and I always wanted it but could never find it for a decent price (current eBay price for the original PSX version: 50). I might have to harrass my mate to get it back even if it's on a temporary basis.

So share your tales of woe and we'll try out best to console you by saying "it wasn't worth it anyway. It sucked balls" amongst other things.

Most things before the gamecube/ps2/dreamcast generation can be emulated.
Try hunting down a psx emulator and a rom, I imagine even your computer can match up to a psx.

    Just pointing out the alternative,
it's not like games stay in production forever after all.

I know, I know. But you know me, I prefer a tangible product. I don't like the idea of everything being digitised (if that's the expression...). I like my room being cluttered with shit!

Just got myself a ROM for Secret of Mana for the SNES,
an adventure game, apparently it's got co-op. :)

    Red Dead Redemption

Looks like the perfect game for me. Huge fan of old Westerns ala Sergio Leone's stuff, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid so living in that world would be bangin'. Yes, I know there's bugs but if you let little bugs get you down then I don't wanna know about it.

    American McGee's Alice.
    So much want...
Oh well I might pick up the sequel when it comes out, since I heard it's basically the first game all over again :|

Got me some Red Dead Redemption Very Happy So far it's been pretty rockin'. Not that far into the story (barely played for 2 hours) but it's been really good so far.

    Happy days for having a 360 :)
